My journey into leadership development began during my time as a physical education teacher and Head of Sixth Form. Working closely with students, I witnessed the transformative power of equipping young people with the skills to lead, manage, and inspire others. This sparked an idea: to create a professional management and leadership qualification specifically for sixth-form students.

What started as a vision within the classroom became the catalyst for a life-changing decision. In 2008, I left my full-time teaching role to launch TFL Education, with a mission to empower individuals of all ages with the knowledge, skills and confidence to excel as managers, leaders, coaches, and mentors.

From the start, I envisioned an organisation that would deliver more than skills and qualifications—it would offer transformative experiences. At TFL Education, values like empowerment, inclusivity, and community are not just principles—they are the foundation of everything we do.

The Journey: Building a Framework for Success

Over the years, I’ve developed an internationally recognised framework of management, leadership, coaching, and mentoring qualifications, benchmarked by the Royal Chartered Management Institute (CMI). This framework validates knowledge and equips learners to create career-long development plans, empowering them to overcome challenges and seize opportunities.

For clients with specific needs, I design bespoke leadership programmes grounded in ethical behaviour, inclusivity, and a commitment to community impact.

In 2024 alone, I’ve supported over 100 individuals in achieving professional qualifications, enhancing their skills, and growing into confident, values-driven leaders.
