Batley Girls’ High School

Batley Girls’ High School is committed to the principles of Achievement, Respect and Transformation in their endeavour to serve the local families and communities by providing the best possible educational opportunities for all.

The pursuit of excellence has ensured that Achievement at Batley Girls’ High School is consistently rated in the top 1% of schools nationally. “Students achieve exceptionally well in this outstanding academy. They make rapid and sustained progress.” (Ofsted 2013)

Respect for self, for others and for learning is at the heart of the school’s work and the school prides itself on the fact that relationships are happy and harmonious. “Students get on with each other exceptionally well and are tolerant of each other’s views and opinions.” (Ofsted 2013)

Transformation is achieved by delivering an educational experience that is both inspirational and aspirational, providing students with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to become happy, well-educated young women equipped to make a contribution to society. “Staff believe passionately that all students should reach their potential.” (Ofsted 2013)

Batley Girls’ High School is committed to the development of outstanding young leaders. We believe in genuine empowerment and responsibility and the idea that our young people have the vision and creativity to lead the school forward. Our partnership with TFL Education fits perfectly into this ethos and the relationship is a dynamic, mutually beneficial and supportive one. The success we have had post-16 with TFL programmes has led us to expand the provision into KS3. We look forward to further developing this exciting partnership.
