Welcome to TFL Education
"Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony." Mahatma Gandhi

The challenge facing schools today is how best to prepare our children for the realities of living and competing in a global workplace. The pace and variety of this global economy calls on all educators to enhance and modify our curriculum to ensure that our children are ready to play their part in this exciting future.
What we have done...
We have written and published a series of fully resourced, interactive courses for inclusion in the primary and secondary school curriculum. The courses provide an ethical framework that drives the development of personal, management and leadership skills.
We have secured the endorsement of the Royal Chartered Management Institute (CMI) who recognise the excellence of a programme that raises student skills to a level that will contribute decisively to economic and social prosperity.

What we think...
The majority of young people today are quite exceptional. Give them a talented and passionate teacher and a course with a rationale they can understand and they are brilliant learners. If we can provide them with the means to learn the skills demanded by society and the workplace and blend this with the knowledge gleaned through their academic and vocational study, the world will be in safer hands than ever before.
What we believe to be true is that our curriculum must provide the opportunity for students to develop a variety of behaviours and learn a range of skills if they are to be properly armed for the challenges of the 21st century.
If they are to continue to 'push the world forward' they will need to demonstrate perseverance, resilience, courage, self-esteem, honesty, humour, optimism, trust, loyalty, integrity, enterprise... the list goes on. We must steer clear of the idea that these behaviours are assumed by genetic transfer or some form of osmosis, they are not. They must be taught, modelled and encouraged.
We must show them how to solve problems; teach them the benefits of teamwork without losing the quality of independent thinking. They must understand why risk taking is to be applauded; how critical thinking must be the basis of good decision making. We must tease out their emotional intelligence and promote the value of social responsibility.
TFL ........ Teaching Future Leaders.
